After telling my (the owner half of the) sharer that as she found she hardly had time to ride I'd happily do her two boys any days that suited and/or do yards to free up more riding time for her (I know, I'm optimum...lol), and not hearing from her for a week I receive a text telling me to return the yard keys as I'm not interested as clearly haven't bothered all week... SHE DIDNT ASK ME TO COME DOWN and I wasn't going to hound her every day, thats just annoying. I'd sort of been having my doubts about continuing the share anyway as I was finding the ponies a little limited in what I wanted to do with them (progression-wise I want to do a bit more than hack and the odd fun ride but it was still nice) so went to try a younger horse a similar distance from me...wonderful horse, lovely owner, hacked out together to see how we all got on and was brilliant...

Return to the yard and her car had been stolen from the field in the 30-40mins we'd been gone!!! It was awful, and she was understandably devastated as like most horsey types most of her life was in the car! I felt so awkward, just didn't know what to say! Fingers crossed she gets everything sorted out and we can progress with share arrangements, but just thought I'd share my recent experiences to show it's a tough sharing world out there! Stick it out fellow sharers, I'm sure when its meant to be it's meant to be...I have my fingers crossed for not only myself but all of you :)
