Do you use the professional choice girth advised, and Do you think they make a huge amount of difference? I have a very sensitive little mare, and wondering if she would dislike the non-slip material...

Nope I just use a stretchy dressage girth that I already had. Don't know how theirs would make a difference tbh as I find no problem with slipping in my current set up

I had my HM Fhoenix for 2 years and used Thorowgood and Aerborn waffle atherstone dressage girths with no probs. They are easy to clean and I had no probs with saddle slipping (although I didn't mount from the ground always used a block, gate, fence etc) I used bothe a Nuumed Hi Wither numnah and a Polypad Forma (hi wither) and actually preferred the Polypad. I did use a piece of the sticky mesh drawer liner between the saddle and numnah for a few months when my youngster was slightly croup high to help keep the saddle in place.
