I do feel your pain......it took 1 whole year to stop the pointer from running off into blue yonder on the hunt after he had already done it in his previous home for 2 years:eek:, and 6 months to stop Tia trying to retrieve dogs after being allowed to do so for over a year:eek:

It also took me about a week to train a grey x whippet I had to recall to perfecto.....and some bint undid it in.........3 weeks or so:rolleyes:

Be patient u will get there......but do remember your treats:rolleyes:

Just to add.....if u have a dog that will responfd to TREATS your lucky...my pointer had no interest in treats (rubs salt into gazeys wounds a little more)

Well now archie has been with me a week, and got his appetite back, we appear to have a little cocker piggy on our hands.

SO much easier! hahaha

Hmmmm.... makes note..... must remember to sort out some bl**dy treats for tomorrow......:D

I will get u some when im out shopping and send them to u.............and remember next time u book a fanny wax, walk the dogs after or well before so u don't stress as much:rolleyes:

Well I did think TWO HOURS would be enough for any properly trained dog to come back :D And it was an eyebrow shape - what would I bother with the other for, I have been single for the past three years :D

*Horseyscot came into this post because she thought it was something to do with Toyota cars...... she then left, cause her mutts are perfect* (Lab, spangle and collie, I mean if you mess with those lanky running creatures what can you expect:rolleyes:)

*Horsey then runs for cover:D*

:D:D

I think it's me that has recall issues rather than our dog!! I let him off last Saturday to play ball and he came back every time..... My husband took him out last night and let him off to explore and he came back no problem.... BUT I am so nervous about letting him off in case I can't get him back.

It's me not him!
