Tobago is a Daddy! (sorry - self-indulgent!)

LOL Mat - the Twemlows people thought he was pretty clever too, but when they showed my non-horsey husband a video of Tobago mounting the dummy and exclaimed over how smart he was, Hubby said: "Well, no, actually - if he thinks that thing is a horse, he's really rather stupid!"

*sigh*

Hubby is actually rather fond of Tobago, bless him, even though a somewhat high-strung 2yo Arab colt was probably not the ideal introduction to horses for him LOL! I'll never forget the day I left them alone together for a bit, and Hubby came running up to me and said: "I patted Tobago and he didn't spook!"

(It took him a while to get the hang of not making sudden movements or waving his arms in a horse's face.

Thanks volatis.

I have now seen a couple of photos of the baby on Arabian Lines - just head-shots but he does look very cute - I've asked the owners to email more pics to me so I can post them here!

Apparently foalie is very strong, cheeky and confident - already zooming around the paddock like a whirling dervish! Sounds like a mini-Tobago!

Aaaaaargh - I know - I'm so sorry - I have asked them to email pics to me - will ask again!!

I think they are on Cloud 9 over their new foal, and Cloud 9 doesn't have broadband yet or something!!

Anyone really desperate to see pics can go on Arabian Lines, click on 'forum', then 'forum' again, then click on 'New Arrivals' and find the thread 'H Tobago... is a Daddy' There are some early pics and then one later further along in the thread, which is better, although none of them do him justice, apparently.

I will ask again for emailed pics so I can post them here - really sorry about the delay!

I had a bad day yesterday when my vision went completely haywire and I couldn't stand or even crawl without falling over. Quite scary, but I'm OK now. It was probably just a mini epileptic fit (I have epilepsy as well as Crohn's - but the epilepsy has been more or less under control with anti-convulsant drugs for about a year now). Anyway, it didn't progress to a full-blown fit, and I'm OK now, and no more stupid than usual, I think, so no harm done.

Booked 2 super mares to Tobago today - a fully graded WB cremello (graded with the ZfDp in Germany - what is that?) and a British National Champion Ridden Arab (pure-bred). So that has cheered me up and I'm feeling very chuffed!
