I GOT TO RIDE MY HORSEY, I GOT TO RIDE MY HORSEY, I GOT TO RIDE MY HORSEY!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

It's been 9 months since I last sat on him, the vet was due out on Tuesday to have a look at him and decide if permission could be granted, but he was out today to see a horse on the yard so I cheekily asked if he fancied looking at my lad today!!! You know so that I could half the call out!! He obliged and said the best words ever 'Amazing his legs look and feel great, you can crack on with his rehab!!!' Well I nearly lept into my vets arms and hugged him.... I refrained thou... he is married!!! :p

Que the vet barely getting out of the driveway as I ran across the yard with my tack!!! I did try and contain the excitement! :D

He was impeccably behaved for a 6yr old who has had 9 months off, we had a bit of a yeeeeehhaaaaaa moment as we left the driveway but he soon got over it and marched on like he had been out the day before... he is just simply an absolute dude!!!! :D

Time for the pictures!!! :D

The best set of ears to see!!!

So I cant stop smiling and that was the best 10 minute walk up the road, I just had to share it :D

I would just like to add a massive thank you to everyone who has been following our journey and to all of the help and support this forum has offered me, I wouldn't have gotten through the last 9 months on my own :)

Its such a good feeling isn't it? I've been there many years ago, my mare got bone spavin. After having over a year off work I rode her one boxing day. I was the happiest person alive!

Fabulous! What had he done to himself though? Also like a poster above I also thought the bit was in backwards?

Hope the rest of your rehab goes well.

He tore his SDFT back in sept he had PRP therapy on it and then surgery in dec :)

Its a neue schule bit, i always got told with neue schule the arrow has to face away from the horse not towards the horse and be on the left which it is! Am i wrong then?? :/

Happy days!! Is your bit a Verbindend? They look slightly back to front but that sounds correct with the arrow forwards and on the left side! Enjoy your lovely boy! :) :)

That is wonderful news, I'm in the exact same boat as you!! We started the 10 minute rides on Tuesday and have to increase it by 5 minutes every week.... My lad didn't have to have surgery though!! It will be a long process for us but well worth it... (",) it's such a good feeling isn't it!!!!
