Today... I finished... my chores... in DAYLIGHT!!!!!

Yes, for the first time since autumn, I got my stuff done and managed to not need to poo pick by torchlight.

It feels momentous!

Anyone else feeling the extra daylight yet?

Securing everything and cross fingers nothing goes for a flying lesson during the night when windspeeds will really get up!

I agree with the windy. I did a short ride out and we could feel it. In fact, as we left the yard it was sideways rain! However, fortune favours the brave and, while we were out, the sun came out and we came home dry!

Yes, me too! Dog didn't need her flashing collar either! Mind you, I drove there through a monsoon!

The monsoon was epic - soaked through my waterproofs in five minutes!!!

Yup, there's a quare stretch in the evenings, as we say around here, and it was definitely lighter this morning too. Last light tonight was nearly half past five.

The monsoon was epic - soaked through my waterproofs in five minutes!!!

I had wipers on full blast, light on and had to slow to 20mph as so heavy! Fortunately it stopped as I drive down the track to my yard.

I got picked up from the office tonight and it wasn’t that dark at 4.30. Much lighter than this time last week. I’ve basically missed the worst of winter this year!

No, I work in an operating theatre with no windows during the day and up the yard with a head torch every night (6.30pm so appreciate it's quite late by them), I feel like I haven't seen daylight for months! ? I am very much looking forward to the spring

Yes! I really noticed it today. Depending on work booked some days I do a yard pm until 4 then it’s a mad rush to get back, grab my gang in and get to my next job to bring theirs in before dark. Easy today! ?

Our weather has been so grey and miserable it's been hard to notice any extra daylight. I've seen some plants starting to shoot up though so spring must be on it's way!

I noticed this too! I've been going up for 3pm some days and still managing to get enough daylight to do some in-hand walking and still get some non-torchlit chores done afterwards.

So excited for the fully light evenings now.
