Ever so pleased with myself, had a lovely hack in the sunshine and faced my fears by deciding to just point and go rather than mince around looking at the approach, the landing, the overhanging foliage, the temperature, anything else I could use as an excuse and the G dog flew over like a true hunter, woop!

(it was prob only 2'9 or so but was a big step for me) Bring on the summer fun rides!

well done you! although i'd have still gone around it i think - even in this sunshine! :D

I've had so much hacking my two today (minus logs though) - there is nothing better than a few good canters in the sunshine to wipe away the cobwebs. i even went as far as leaving their rugs off for the afternoon, i might regret that with my grey boy when i go back up :D

I left rugs off too, going back to re-rug shortly though as there's still a chill in the air and I don't want the old man getting cold! Bet I find them head to toe brown!

Well done that's a huge jump by my standards!!!

I'm the same always looking for excuses to not jump something, my instructor just shouts at me to shut up and do it!! My horse is the most honest thing ever so she knows if he refuses something it's because I've told him to!! Lol!!

I'm hoping the weekend continues like this, stuck in the office til 5 then woo hoo 2 days to enjoy the outside!!:D

Well done. 2'9 is about my limit on a good day.

I've done some ground work with my pair and the youngster is doing really well.

I had to get on and do some jumping as got a SJ competition on Sunday and we haven't jumped properly in about 2 years and none at all in over 6 months. We had a grid up and she went flying down in (it was only 2' though, which is plenty for me :) ).

That's me spent about 5-6 hours at the stable (mostly hanging out with poneis in their field). Haha.

It might be sunny but it's still sodding freezing here! Still safely in double rugs, minus the cob.

I'm in a crappy mood. It's perfect hacking weather and I can't ride. -_- I tried this morning, schooled for an hour and now my leg's in bits. So decided that wasn't the best idea probably! Not on the nappiest horse we have anyway...

Other than that....I've cleaned all the tack we have in the tack room, done great big double beds [again] and now have just made rock cakes which I've not doe since I was like, 5!.....I'm 21 next weekend and having a pre-midlife crisis I think!!!!! Lol.

:(

I had a fantastic schooling session today! Compared to when I first bought my mare she didnt know how to canter in a school (August 2010) and today I got her walk to canter, hault to trot and I got her medium trot down the side of the sand school!

Plus she was working in a really nice outline aswell which is different because shes normally doing a giraffe impression (shes an ex racer). Im so pleased with her cant believe how well shes coming on!

Next week were going to introduce her to some jumps :D xx

Agh poor you! Not numb anymore then? Re the weather, where are you?! Our cob x had no rug for a few hours, the oldy had a lw no neck on. Back in their snugglies now though as temp is dropping like a stone at night! And Re the baking, making cakes is the way forward, I'm 23 and like nothing better than spending a day baking with some good old soul music playing! I'm still cool...

Don't be cross, take the time out with the lucky leg to plan a kick ass birthday weekend!

Jsr and mishaspey I'm just like you when it come sto jumping - hence the decision today to just go for it without thinking about it, and it was ace!!

GG, thats amazing, well done, bet you're really pleased!

Apercrumbie, get well soon!

I also had a great hack out in the sunshine today (thanks for asking :D )

Also popped big tyre fence at home when we came back, executed it nicely - even if it was our 1st ever jump (but I just felt I HAD to do it ) apart from small logs under 1ft high out hacking

Well done and about time too!

I had a day of housework , stuck at home with no vehicle  it was virtually dark by the time I got to Jen's tonight.

I can't wait for the fun rides either - they're just what I need. The one near you is in May (I think) so will be here before you know it! :)

Haha thanks!

My baking skills are pure crap, tbh, though......I made muffins actually explode in the oven the other month..... :o

Leg is partially still numb in the centre....but absolutely blazing all around it instead now :( STILL no bruising much though!!! I'm most offended haha. If a sodding 17.3 is going to use me as a door mat, I want sodding big arse awesome bruise to have on show haha!!!

I AM riding today however. It's sunnyish again and I really want to go and jumps some logs out hacking now. I shall take my lad. He's point and aim, no actual riding needed ;) :)

Well that's better than me - I have my chap during the week and weekends when his wealthy owners are not home (they live in London during week anyway) but they are home this weekend, so no riding for me. Thanks goodness the evenings are drawing out now!
