Today I started to strip graze the field!

Grass has really picked up over the last few days. Young Pony was getting porky, so rations it is for her. Poor Meg who needs the grass will have to cope with what she can find and a bucket full of food! So annoying having one of each! Meg always picks up, so I'm not overly concerned yet.... Rather this than lami, right?

Definitely I started restricting my cobs grass at the weekend too.

He is in small bare(ish) paddock at night and out during the day with the others with a muzzle on. He gives me the 'I'm starved' look but has been rather lively recently so I know he is still getting the spring grass!

Yep same here started putting them in during the day with soaked hay and out at night however having surveyed the grass growth tonight I think they will now need muzzles too..its all happened so quickley

What we used to do with my sister's tb and cob was they would be in together in the bare paddock for the night then during the day the tb went into the next door field with lots of grass for the night or the other way round. That way they had company but the skinny one still got some extra grass
