Hacked out with my daughter.

She is 15 and we both have horses but I have never ridden out with her as always worried about what could happen if we where both on horses back. Anyway today she said lets do it I know I can handle my horses and you can handle yours. So we did and it was great we really spoke to each other as nothing else to do!!

I understand your fears as I have been hacking out with my neice since she was about 8 - my sister doesn't ride anymore and the responsiblility of a child on a pony is really quite intimidating Luckily she has always done as she is told and knows the rules when we ride out.

Anyway neice is now 16 and has a TB ex-racer and we still ride out together We have had loads of fun and scrapes along the way but its been a really good way of spending time with her and for her to gain so much confidence on her ponies and now horses
