It's the day I had my first fall of my new horse :D

Not entirely sure what happened and things are still a bit blurry.. I think we had a bit of a spook and then a follow-up spook at me clinging on the side, cue me belly flopping into the floor  After a sit down and a very lovely friend walking him round for me, I got back on, had a walk round.. and the next thing I remember was sitting outside my stable, where I then had a bit of memory loss! All fine, just a bit of a bang, lovely bruise on my collar bone and a mild concussion. Comfy lie on the sofa with a cup of tea and we have a lesson tomorrow! Can remember everything now, and am feeling a little sorry for myself, but looking forward to what tomorrow brings! Join me with a cup of tea for reading this far :p how are we all on this fine Monday? xx

Ouch! Please say you've been checked out?! Glad you're feeling better, take it easy tomorrow though :D

I had my first fall off my our chap too the other day...Well, I say fall, he (long story) ended up on the floor and I stepped off his back  Luckily everyone was fine :p

Yeah, luckily both my parents are doctors, so I'm being watched carefully :) and I will!
And wow what happened?! That sounds.. strange! :p xx

That's lucky!!

Oh, baby horse forgets he has a rider on occasionally when there are loose horses around him playing. He tried to join in whilst schooling  put in a few acrobatics, stood up and jumped backwards into a jump set up in the school, got a bit tangled up and being the fairly dense sod he is decided to just lay down in it rather than try to get out of it, and let us untangle him :p (Which is a good thing, I guess, meant he didn't panic)

Soo, I stayed on that much, and just stepped off him as he lay there on top of a few poles and a wing, looking at me as if to say 'who the hell put that there?! Give us a hand up, will you?'

He stood up after a minute or two, totally unfazed and unhurt and we wandered home. No ill effects whatsoever (we did get him checked, he's 100%)

:D :D :D

J&C wow!! That sounds like quite an event!

MrsM thank you! Lots of pain killers along with that chocolate sure helped :D

Marydoll I think I only got back on because I wasn't quite in my right mind ;) I apparently did lots of other stuff I have no recollection of doing! Including asking about 60 times what had happened, walking down to my stable and untacking before sitting outside and calling my mum twice to tell her I'd fallen off and could she pick me up, after the second time someone else called her to give her an accurate account and to explain why I had called her twice within 5 mins!! Luckily my friends were around to make sure I didn't do anything too stupid and eventually sanity returned with a headache ;) no problems now, just bruised!

RGF thank you! Plenty of fluids and lounging on the sofa has helped! xx
