Early this morning Flyn came for a ride with me, at least five miles of fast riding over the moor. When we got back home he had his breakfast and was shut outside (access to the Utility Room) as he was so wet and muddy.

I popped off to visit a friend for an hour and on my return my son (day off school), with a worried expression, asked if I had taken Flyn with me - Nope, not with me

So, according to my son, he had been missing for ages then.

I sent son off down the road to the shoot room where his Dad was working, thinking Flyn was probably with him. Son bumps into Game Keeper who tells him he found him wandering around the farm and put him in his landrover.

There was Flyn, happy as larry, tail wagging, sitting in a completely unknown, random landrover, on his own, with the driver door wide open waiting to be taken somewhere

Bloody dog would just go off with anyone - its quite a worry.

Today, my stupid spaniel ran straight across the lane into the youngsters' field on the trail of something

Lucky for him there was nothing coming and the youngsters were at the other end!

Scary....Matty dog won't get in any other car than mine. Even if I'm the one driving it. I xread to think what I'll do when I have to cahnge it!!

We used to have a HUUUUGGGEEEE lurcher that was like that...the number of times he arrived home at the gate sat on the passenger seat of someones once lovely car (until he had got in it covered in Sh1t) looking very pleased with himself and looking at me as if to say, 'alright mum, you coming too?' grrrr, little bugger!
Glad Flyn is home safe and sound!

When we first got Otto he would get in any car BUT ours! He would have to be lifted into ours. It wasn't until OH got a new car that he started jumping in off his own back.

Stupid Spangles....

Ozzie will jump in any car with an open door (especially if it's a 4x4 or horsebox - as clearly they go to all the fun places)!

Exactly - obviously a fast ride across the moors wasn't exciting enough for him and he had to look elsewhere for his entertainment - grrrr!
