.........RABBIT!!!!!

Some might say she's a slow starter (2yo mini JRT), but honestly... It's bad enough having two 'killer' cats who frequently have 'take away' dinner and bring it home to eat on the kitchen floor without having a dog who catches the poor little bunny babies as well.

Don't suppose putting a bell on her collar would work

???

She's most definitely in my bad books, especially as it was one that had a close shave with one of the cats earlier and I had repatriated it up into the field again.

Any suggestions???

Well done Poppy

I would suggest you trade her in for a greyhound

- Islay caught a rabbit on the first time she was let off the lead, and has never found another one since then

TBH I dont think there is that much you can do? The two mini JRTs at our yard used to constantly catch rabbits before they (the dogs) went missing

Small house....small dog (thats why we have a JRT). Bet a greyhound running full pelt after a rabbit is quite a sight.

Don't say that...my biggest fear is that she will get stuck down a rabbit hole and get lost!!!

Another thing for me to stress over...

Greyhounds are quite impressive when they set off after something - unfortunately tonight one ran full pelt into the other one, I think their steering does need some attention

Luckily both were fine

I am pretty sure in my own mind that the two JRTs at our yard were taken by someone who thought they were strays - they frequently roamed along local lanes etc

- I could imagine one getting stuck but not both. I am sure your little one will be fine - she will be too busy chasing rabbits above ground

WHen we got last summer over with I (wrongly) thought it was a 'gene' that she didn't have.

Should have known better - she is a terrier. They all do it I suppose.

I hope so - she stands outside rabbit holes (have never seen her try to go down one (yet)).

Re the greyhounds colliding - that must have been funny. Why do these thing never happen when you've the camcorder out. It would be lovely to make some money from You've been framed.

No - it was one I had removed from the utility room about half an hour before (cat must have brought it in originally), and had chaperoned out into the paddock.

Oh she would love a fiance (only Rio though - they are so compatible, though long distance relationships are so hard)!!!

Here is P in the snow last month... (how could he resist her)...
