Today was the day - Tribute to my mare

Thank you for all the lovely messages and im sorry for those i made sob! wasnt my intention i just wanted to put something out there so she wont be forgotten and to show how much i loved her.

For the lady who asked about her son, we did it in the field he was adjoining and i let him in as soon as it was safe to. After around 20 mins i tried to move him to another field in anticipation of the disposal people but he planted himself, he wasnt leaving mum ! so i left him with her until they arrived and a friend then moved him. He called all evening so i went and sat with him in his stable. Hes the grey in my sig. Best gift she ever gave me. At least i still have him.

Its funny, i always thought Hero's talent came from the stallion ( and his half brother is talented when hes not broken ) but more and more i see the talent actually came from her. An old KWPN mare, who was not ' fashionable' because she was a TP (tuigpaard) but she really was the best horse, and she could really move. I have so much good things to say about her, i could probably write a book. Im sure we all have horses like this though, and we really as *SO* lucky.

same as mine...did she by any chance have the Utopia line or Duc de Normandie/Enfant Terrible/Kroongraaf in her bloodlines ?

Beautiful gorgeous girl, she looked amazing. I dread the time my mare is no longer with me shes now 19. Theres something about mares, can't put my finger on it, but they are so very special, take care and in time you will feel better. I lost a mare when she was only 7 to a broken leg in the field, it was heartbreaking, but my current mare has helped me get through it all. Horses, beautiful creatures, so special x
