Toilet training question....

My terrier bitch is having a few problems with toilet training. She is about a year old and 99% of the time is absoutely fine, the other 1% she sometimes just squats and wees in the lounge - back door is open and she can go out as she likes. It tends to be when it is raining. If I catch her I just shout 'out' and she scuttles out. Any ideas how I can stop this? She is doing it less and less and I thought that it had stopped, but she did it again tonight. I am getting worried about Christmas when I go to my parents - I am terrified that she will wee on their persian rug

it really doesnt slove your problems but if its only when its raining outside and she's only a little un maybe it'd be worth training her to use a cat litter?? our pups used to be bad at it but they are sort of growing out of it, might keep her of the rug though!!

I would not give her free acess to outside, but would instead take her outside every hour or two and stay out with her till she did something.
