It's been a long time since we has a pup/young dog. He's been fully toilet trained for at least 6 months now - turning 1 in July - and for the last 7 days he has pooed I'm the house every single night and it's driving me absolutely bonkers.

His exercise hasn't been the same over the last few weeks due to the heat, but he's still getting plenty of outside time and exercise through other methods such as scent work. diet wise nothing new fed twice a day about 6am/6pm, goes to the toilet outsidr no b9ther during the day, asks out, He's not restricted to one area at night and just going wherever he pleases... the most annoying thing of all is he wakes me up after, almost straight away it would seem, to be let out. Wise people why is he doing this to me. I cannot cope with the stench ans my poor carpets are getting ruined 😅

Both my little dogs did the toilet regression thing (JD didn’t). Sometimes it just becomes a habit, so they are desperate one night and go and then that behaviour continues.
Take out for a good walk just before bed time and even consider setting an alarm and getting up in the night and taking them outside, just to get that pattern of toileting outside again.

Also, thoroughly clean any areas that they have been on the carpet because they will continue to go in the same place if it smells of them.

Could he have a water infection or anything do you think?

Thanks, I'll pop him back in the kitchen over night for now & I'll set an alarm over night to let him out. Carpets are being thoroughly cleaned every time he's not gone in the same spot twice.

He never poops on a walk, he will when we are at the yard & always in the garden but never out walking, I can definitely bring his evening meal forward but can't walk last thing during the week as it's just me & the kids but that's always been the way for him.

I don't think he's got a water infection or anything but of course something to keep in mind. Thanks all hopefully a wee blip that passes.
