We have a 12 week cocker pup who although can go through the night (10 pm to approx 6 am), during the day is still weeing virtually every 20 mins and still having numerous accidents in the house. We take her out regularily, after sleep, feeding, play etc so are not missing the trigger times.

We have 2 other dogs that we have had from pup but don't remember them needing to go as much.

Is this normal as hoped by now she would be lengthening the time between needing to go? She has no signs of a uti and appears in good health but is going to the vets for her last vaccs tomorow so will also mention it to them.

Or is there something we are doing wrong?

Tia.

I didn’t get my puppy til 11 weeks, but I remember taking him out almost every half an hour for the first couple of weeks. I think I had a total of 4 accidents in the house, and they were when my OH was in charge and hadn’t bothered to take him out.

Are they actual pees or 'happy widdles' when she's been over-excited/stressed by something?
If I can't monitor my pup in the daytime she's in a crate in my line of vision or in the car etc etc.
You can't train anything when you're not in the room with the dog.
When you say regular, is it literally every 20 mins/half an hour?
I'd def query a UTI also.

I don't use crate, without puppy pens, and I'm probably not as diligent about using it as CorvuxCorax/as much as I maybe should when I've had puppies, but otherwise ditto.
If it's not happy/excited piddles, a puppy that truly does proper small puddles/tries to pee around every 20 minutes when awake, would make me think UTI, or other problem.

Will mention it to the vet today, thanks.

I am not convinced re a UTI and wondering if it is 'happy widdles' (thanks for that phrase CorvusCorvax!) as she goes through the night, and if left in her day run for any length of time, doesn't mess in there either. It is more when she is playing with the others and maybe she just forgets to try and hold it.

Will keep perservering and update!

Yeah mine took a while to grow out of that, it's more of a female thing, did it mostly when having a fuss made of her or was very excited about something. Did it quite a lot at the vets ? but as you say, dry overnight. I'm probably more anal about crating as I rent/lived with my mother before that so they're not my floors to trash.
