A friend of mine runs clinics at her yard with him and always popular. He's doing one at Quainton this weekend I believe. Might be worth popping down and having a watch if you're local.
If you're on FB look up Twin Oaks eventing as that's the friend that runs them, might be some info on there ?
He's very popular and people really like him. He's definitely of the 'hard work' school of thinking - people always come back exhausted ;-). Depends if that suits you and your horse!
I had a couple of lessons with him and enjoyed them. I'd heard of his 'hard work' lessons but tbh I was no more tired than usual after a schooling session. He's quite plain talking, and came up with some good exercises for my crooked horse. My brain ached more than my body!
I've since moved yards and I'm very happy with my YO as instructor, otherwise I'd go and have more lessons with him.
Does anyone have any views of Tom vs Simon Battram? Someone has also suggested Simon to me and I've heard good things about him too and he's also slightly cheaper. Are there styles similar?
