Very sad news indeed, condolences to all his loved ones. However I was horrified to read that the two runners he was due to ride on Thursday evening, still ran with replacement jockeys. It would have been nice to think that those horses' connections could have shown a little more respect, and not just treat jockeys as dispensable.
