Tommy-two sheds. Anyone else have one of these?!

Susie, without getting a little heated, and not in a good way
:-p, I do that all the time.

everyone does. Just not many admit to it.

Jealousy does funny things, atleast op is not being malicious in controlling it.

Before now I've had sports cars written off, I knew who did it, and i'm telling you now, it was jealousy.

there are hundreds of stories I could tell you about jealousy gone bad.

I'd rather support and have a joke with someone who can vent in a forum than condone someone damaging someone elses property out of pure spite.

I stand by my statement, if it really is as op states, she has got the upper hand, she worked hard for hers and owns hers with no ones control, it's just not as black and white as that and you don't realise what you have until it's gone.

Seriously, chill, she's better off venting here than letting a silly emotion get the better of her.

It's not really HOW someone gets something that matters, if someone is deliberately trying to make you feel bad - that isn't nice.
Couldn't really care HOW anyone gets something, lets face it, life is rarely black and white :)

But that would be an assumption boo.

Every one would like a trailer/truck/wagon, just because I buy a wagon does not mean I did it to wind you up.

Life is black and white often, if your a zebra :-p

how has she got the upper hand? I'm guessing if she had the money handed to her on a plate she wouldn't have gone out and worked hard to say she had for the lorry. this is what is called reverse snobbery and is very unflattering on anyone.

I aggree I have been on the receiving end of this it gives you a nasty feeling. I know I lucky but that's what it is luck but I am not sure what people would prefer me to do. I went on a clinic recently with my newest horse not an expensive horse but one who is a project and that I bought because I loved him and was lucky to buy because he came on the market at the right time for me because he has an issue .
I was going into the arena at the start and she said oh yet another beauiful new horse in this horrible sarcastic voice what would she want me to do buy awful horses so I don't upset her.
I done get it any way he was cheap horse as he has an issue but he is lovely.

I'm sorry susie but i'm not arguing with you.

I'd be much happier owning a Lorry I worked my bum off for (which I do) than if someone had bought/Lent/given be it (which was an option)

Call it snobbery, I call it self satisfaction.

Were slightly off topic now though.

Boo, i'm afraid pink clashes with my blue eyes and the stars may well spook the poor ponies ;)

^ :(
I'm another lucky one, well, that's debatable atm (the person who said it's not the wagon but what comes out of it - what's coming out of mine is thin air!!!) but I'm lucky that all my peers have been happy for me. I'd be mortified to think someone was sneering because I've had good luck. I came from having zero and now I'm lucky enough to have very near everything I want - and I remember the feeling of struggling too.
Don't worry OP you will get there eventually, might take you a while but you will! :)

Golden star, you are merely suggesting the side of jealousy people are not giving op credit for not displaying.

That is down right rude. There is no need. Wether said horse was gift or £100,000 there is no need to comment in such a way.

Had the person openly admited that infact they are jelous of your new project i'm sure you would have been somewhat sympathetic and possibly explain the situation.

I have to say, while I don't judge other people, I do agree with this! It IS much nicer to have worked for it yourself.

That's coming from someone who has been bought it all, before anyone thinks I'm being reverse snotty :) I'm just happy, happy if you bought it for yourself, happy if you got given it... I try to make envy a personal motivator that works for me :D

You are right and I did see the funny side when after an hour she said he looks a bit like so and so's X yes I said he does that's because he was so and so's X ( I did not add and I have been working my backside off since he arrived that's why you did not recognise him straight away).

It's nicer, but sometimes not practicle.

I was so tempted to accept cash/gift but then thought, if I work for it, know how much it cost, how hard I worked for it I will respect it alot more. that's not to say you don't respect yours like I do mine.

Gs,.that's what I mean, I'd rather someone admit that they are a little jelous. You then know where you stand.

I hate jealousy with a vengeance, it's one of my more active emotions and I handle it wrong. I get arsey and ignorant.

OP - tell her how wonderful you think her new box is - rave over it - put her on the back foot. ;)

Then tell her that you can't wait for yours to arrive as you've saved so long for it yourself...

Like I said I know I am lucky I have a lovely house with land and stables one groom during the week and another for weekends because my OH does not like to see me working on the yard all the time .
I am sorry if I am ranting but I know I am lucky if life throws you luck grab it and run with it it I respect the things I have enormously and I care for them carefully the day my OH bought me home a lorry was ( sad I know ) sad I know best ever I just sat, and looked at it for hours .

:D sounds like you are proper grateful for your good luck too - nothing wrong with that in the world I don't think :)

Gs, do you have any spare luck?

That sounds idilic (sp?)!

You must be doing something right for OH to want to conserve your energy :-p - I don't meant this disrespectfully, sorry if any offence is caused.

Boo, that wasn't what I was thinking, although I have been known to state the only way to get my Lorry to maintain a reasonable speed would be to roll it from southerndown cliffs :)

A Tommy Two sheds is someone who,, if you buy a new shed, they buy two new sheds...you do something, theyve done it better...you buy something, theyve bought better/paid way more or got it for way less (whichever would be most upsetting)...youve won a magazine competition, theyve won a Nobel Peace Prize.

My sister is a tommy two sheds :)

Ha!! I to was wondering.

I would describe this person as a 'stubbed your toe, broke their leg' person

Ahhh SusieT- i wondered when you would pop up, how are you nowadays? Still making friends?;)

Anyways, thanks for all the replies.. if it helps i smiled and told her how nice her box was today :p
