Hi guys sorry been away for a while as all getting to me a bit... I cannot believe today!!! I was in the house having a coffee and a chat with my landlady while the horses were brought in, when I got out side I found Lisa my groom (binky01) hosing my three year old greys front leg which was the size of a marrow from his knee to his fetlock with a lovely puncture wound.....

Reeling from yet another injury and muttering he is on bloody antib's and bute for his cut jaw he will be fine but I will phone the vet to check at which point lisa tells me the news I have been dreading..... She was cleaning Tommy's feet this morning and there is a hole in his sole that is showing white!!!! My heart stopped!!! I rushed into check him picked his foot up and sure enough there is a hole and white showing through the bottom but he would not let me hold it for long enough to see it well...

Anyway phoned the vets who said they agree they think the pedal bone has breached and that this would be the end for him...I am trying to talk to vet and sound all pro while crying my eyes out.. The vet was here in half hour basically prewpared to put him to sleep.. only to get side tracked by the grey who had to be checked (probes and synovial test) to make sure he has not punctured the fetlock joint or tendon sheath (me thinks the vet did not want to know either and was stalling even though the grey was not looking good)

Anyways he goes into Tommy's box all of us in sunglasses trying to be brave for him when he pick his foot up has a good look around only to find a large flake of the sole had come away showing the white new sole underneath!!!!! Huge grins we walk out of his box all over the moon and turn round to see Tom has walked to the front of his box and had his top lip curled up at everyone of us almost to say "got ya going!!!!" God I love that horse....

Thank you all of you I would have been a wreck without you xxx

- no carrots or treats for that young man!!

I cannot believe your run of 'incidents'. Have you thought of just wrapping them all in bubble wrap and locking them in their stables for a few weeks?

Glad to hear Tommy is still fighting on!

Fingers crossed he gets that little miracle you're after.

Had to scan that post quickly to make sure the outcome was a OK - Tommy had me worried there for a minute.
Huge cuddles and giant bubble wrap all round.

Come on boy. I am routing for him with everythng i have - he sounds like an amazing fighter who must know how much he is loved.
If love alone could heal him he'd make it for sure.
