Decided ive had it with not riding. Its exactly 5 weeks tomorrow that I had my accident and broke my finger - cant do with another 3 weeks like the surgeon has told me to wait.
Well the wires came out on Tuesday (very painful!) and ive been doing my exercises (regularly)with it every day whenever I get the chance (or bored at work!) Its very stiff and still swollen but apart from that it feels great.

So decided that im going to get back on and have a little hack out and see how I get on. Wont be doing too much as Chantin had all her shoes removed after her skin episode and Flighty has just gone barefoot and getting used to her Boa boots so probably end up just going round the block.

I hope im not being stupid and rushing it. I feel as though im ready to get back on but if im not ready ill know about it when I get back off.

I will dont worry. Just woke up yesterday and decided I wanted to go out riding! Not such a good idea at 4.45am so decided id leave it till the weekend when mum is riding!

you know how im feeling though dont you

Go for it! I broke and dislocated my finger 10days ago and although it is not wired like yours i have been riding with it in a splint, not sensible I know but 5wks without riding seemed too much!

Oh you will feel SO elated when you get back on - I know I did!! Hacked out alone today... would have laughed in the past about such a milestone, but now I know it is huge! Wish you all the best - ENJOY!!!!!!! xxxx

I broke my knuckle a couple of years ago and was told not to ride for 6 weeks - I lasted nearly 2! Mind you I had a split instead of wires otherwise I wouldn't have been able to. I just stuck to gentle(ish) hacking and no jumping and was fine. Even managed to do gates one handed.
Enjoy!
