I'm off on a gap year next year and have to put Andy on loan (wish he could come to oz with me!) :(

I have started spreading the word through friends but is it too early to start advertising yet as he won't be going until next summer?

He isn't an easy horse so I want to find a perfect home for him where he isn't going to come back and they enjoy him as much as possible but also somewhere that won't ruin all the hard work I've put in.

Would anyone actually want to loan him anyway as he isn't a cheap to keep in the winter?

No harm in putting an advert out to see what response you get. Perhaps you might find someone who is happy to part loan between now and then to get to know him before taking him on full time (That would be the perfect situation! :) )

Maxapple that was what I thought, getting someone in soon so they can get to know each other with you around, you can get to know the people well so will help settle your mind for when you go away.

Thanks, will put ads up in local tack shops and email around our PC as I would prefer for him to go to someone I know. Have just put a video together for his advert as well.

Wish us luck. :D
