There's a ODE in september I'm looking at taking my 20 year old pony to. He's had a past shoulder ligament pull/damage, which took a while to heal but he is now fully back on track. I always warm up and cool down well, and just occasionally if we've done an awful lot or travelled quite far he'll come out a little stiff for a day or so.

Obviously I'll make sure he's fully fit and been XC a few times before doing this ODE, which is about an hour and a half away from us. But is this too far and doing too much? What do you think? Thanks for taking your time to read this- cookies!

EDIT- He's recently been to some PC rallies that are over an hour away, and been just a tad stiff after being stuck on the box coming back, but I just walk it off and he's fine the next day.

Only you know your pony and how he will cope

I would say if you know he will be fine then go for it..... but if you are in any doubt at all then maybe not.

It would be terrible if we all said go for it, and he was lame the next day
