too much 4 one visit

well i need the vet 4 jabs, but thought i need the farrier to , also i want my feathers clipped and maybe a hog , do u think if i have vet 4 jabs, get her to sedate them , shoe them then clip them all they will be ok , or do u think this isnt possible to much 4 a horseto have done at once,

Why does the vet need to sedate your horse to clip its feather, and hog it?

hi, um yes she hates the noise and wont keep still also she not to keen with the farrier to, i let her go barefoot over winter then she was barefoot to have foal , but i ride her every day now,

have you tried acp or paste sedation??

or even a twitch to clip ??

yes , but id need to give each one 12 tablets and they still fidget like mad, i dont no

No No No, please dont do this for your own saftey if anything else, i used to work at a yard where we had a horse who didn`t like being clipped or shod on his hind feet so the vet came to sedate him to be shod, vet did his stuff and left, then my YM at the time in all her worldly wisdom decided to clip him at the same time, i lived in at the yard and was recovering from having my appedndix out and she came to ask me to hold him and i like a muppet agreed! well the horse stood for about 5 mins and then with no warning just exploded!! he reared up and backed me into a corner (he was not a nasty horse, just terrified!) he brought his hoofs down my sides (luckily he missed my op wound) but i still have a lump on my hip and this happened 11 years ago!!! and the YM didn`t even say sorry or admit that it had been her fault!! the sexy farrier had to carry me to the house but i was in to much pain to care, so please just do one thing at a time, don`t overload him please!
