Too much Hay!!!!!

Ok I have read all these post's about how there will be no hay....... we have far too much!!! Last year we hayed 2 fields, and I have not use half of what we got from them. This year as we only have the one horse and have hayed three field's!! So if anyone is wanting hay PM me, for details. I have to ask OH's mother how much sha wants, per small bale, and it would have to be collected. The hay is quite good, has a few brambles from the edge but the rest is really good. I only fed my cob on this hay last winter and he never lost any weight, was the only horse I know that gained weight!!!

Will up date when I know how much hay we have and how much per bale. (As a work at the min)
 
We have have loads as well, so much that a local riding school has just turned up to collect some for their horses. I have been able to keep 11 round bales for our pony which should hopefully see pony through the winter.

As I am on my phone I can't see your location, so where are you based? I may be able to send them your way as well :)
 
My loan horse's owner has asked (or rather told) us to feed only hay this winter as he gets a bit "hot" on haylage (wouldn't you not having been ridden for over a year and being stuffed full of haylage and other food?!) so am wondering how many bales you all go through from mid october to late april? We could buy from the YO per bale but its £6.50/bale so will be looking for cheaper suppliers, he's 16hh 12 years old and will be in medium work over winter, feed hard feed and stabled at night with rugs if it's of any relevance :)
 
Firstly sorry it has taken so long to get back to everyone, after playing with hay and sorting stables and places to store it, I got home at 9pm had to make tea and feed all our other animals, then I could hardly keep awake. For thoes of you asking we are in Cutthorpe, Derbyshire. We have at the min 75 bales, will have some more when the farmer does bale rest up tho :) So will let anyone that wants to know how much we have and price. Trying not to advertise on here to much, or TFC will chance me down with a carrot stick!! :D

Forgot to say, hay is meadow hay.

We can poss deliver to some people that are close, to us. But would like some cost to petrol, Land Rover that is petrol, I've seen some AA people drink less :) :) (Not ment to be mean)

Thanks for that I'll look on it as I'm getting better at spelling :) Means loads to me if I am getting better at it. Water and ducks and all that :)
