Hi everyone,
I don’t know if this is a stupid question but… is it possible to adjust a saddle to have less chunky knee rolls?
It’s a butet monoflap with very thick foam at the knee. I’ve been disappointed since it was delivered, it’s far too forward cut for me (I asked for a straighter cut but was told it would be harder to sell on ?!) and the knee rolls are so bulky I feel like I’m riding an elephant!!
I’m too embarrassed to ask a saddler in case I get met with a very baffled glare!

Not without great expense (to have it done well, neatly etc) and being without the saddle for some time. Not recommended. I would complain to the fitter that it doesn't fit you, that it wasn't what you wanted. Did they give you written terms and conditions, at least by email etc? If they didn't you have a very strong case to return even a fully custom saddle even if you've had it a few weeks, so I would chat to any ruling body governing the fitter (SMS, BETA etc) and to ask the CAB for advice.

It doesn't sound very suitable for you from what you've said. The flaps are "so bulky" and it's "far too forward cut" - the "harder to sell on" reasoning is nuts, you are paying for this saddle so it needs to suit you, not a hypothetical future owner.

I don't know how much it's possible to tweak the saddle to suit but I'm afraid you're definitely going to address it with your saddler. Is this a brand new saddle?

It's not what you asked for and it's not want you wanted. I think you should send it back for a full refund. Demand nothing less.
