To work this afternoon to use their school and he was fantastic. He has NEVER been ridden away from home.
He loaded very well, travelled well, was his first time with out Hattie.
I unloaded him in his bridle as he can be strong to handle, threw his tack on and a lunge line, marched him through the yard and across the field to the school, trotted him round for 10mins on the lunge, he didnt do anything naughty so lead him round to see the scary barrels and water tray etc. Then as I went to hop on the youngsters decided to play, but I jumped on away thinking if he plays up at least is a soft landing. Dad had him on the lunge line just in case but after 1 lap he let him off and I walked and trotted round with absolutely no problems at all. He was as good as gold. Im so proud of him.
So were be going back once or twice a month and hopefully I can start to get him cantering over there.
Pics to follow shortly.
