He's previously been offered pilchards. They lasted a week, before The Royal Personage turned his nose up at them and refused. Tuna in spring water met the same fate. He covered it with shredded newspaper, which is his tablecloth. Within three days. Wretched creature.

I’ve spent more hours than I care to remember nursing cats who wouldn’t eat, that feeling when they did was incredible

Hope he continues to improve quickly xx

Aha, your king is the sort to change his tastes on a whim.

Her ladyship Millie would like to send him her regards. She will eat the same thing once or twice before she changes her mind about liking it, but she appreciates how it keeps us on our toes when she decides she fancies something else.

It seems these fluffers were cut from the same cloth. A very expensive sort. 😂

Hope all goes well for you both back at the vets!

I'm sorry to read about Kevin. I accidentally purchased a box of Felix Tasty Shreds the other day and they went down really well. Aldi do a great cooked whole chicken - they are all different weights for the same price, so I check every one to make sure I get the best value. Kevin may allow you to help him eat it.

Webbox is on offer in Morrisons at the moment if you are near one. The cats fall over each other to get to that as well. They do jelly and gravy but i find the gravy ones too fiddly to deal with.

Fenella (mummy cat) got some Webbox treat sticks for Mother's Day, along with some Lick e Lix and they disappeared quite quickly.

Best wishes to KK.
I work at the local pub. Last summer this half starved, one eyed, manky coated and squashed tailed feral cat turned up.
He is now completely obese, and won’t even look any more at a prawn or a sliver of salmon. He does, however, love Whiskas pouches.
He still only has one eye and half a tail but is now a sort of Buddha like king in the beer garden. He likes scampi and guests have to fight their corner. 😃

I hope Kevin is feeling better soon, when they get older they're such a worry! I have a 20 year old cat I adopted last year and she has stage 2 kidney disease and should really be eating renal food but she absolutely refuses to, so she just gets what she wants to eat (although she's just decided she now doesn't like the Whiskas she loved last week!). I just thought, you're 20 years old, you can eat whatever you like!
14 is a great age, particularly with IBS. Hopefully he will perk up and eat some more soon :)

Thanks for your kind good wishes. Kevin Kat would add his, but he is currently asleep, having slurped a great deal of milk and water!
Please check out the thread when/if you have time.

Kevin Kat, has drunk lots of slightly warmed milk and water (more water than milk) and a small amount of warmed-over Felix something or other.
He did his inscrutable "Why are you still here? I want to be alone." He stretched luxuriously, flexing his eagle talons, yawned hugely and closed his eyes.
Two hours later, I have just checked on him. He opened one eye, shut it and went back to sleep.
