Thanks to all those of you who gave me tips
I got through about half a pack of baby wipes, and thanks to you guys I remembered to clean my stirrup treads!!
We did the in-hand classes first:
We came fourth in Most Appealing, fourth in Mountain & Moorland, and Second in Best Condition
(we were 3rd in Best Condition until the very last minute when they moved us up a place!!). Because we got a 2nd place we had to do the championship - we didn't get anywhere but it was fun
Then I did a ridden class...eeek!! I decided to do best rider - I know I'm a rubbish rider but figured it would be good experience. Anywoo, we came 2nd
out of two
(but the judge did say it was quite close
). Murphy was very good - he even cantered on the correct leg on his difficult rein
So then we did the ridden championship, which was hilarious because we had to gallop, I thought I was going to die
We didn't get anywhere again....but it was fun
Murphy was very well behaved during the classes, but other than that I think his manners have gone AWOL
He tried to gallop back to his field when I tried to load him, and basically just dragged me about until I put his bridle on. He dragged me off again when we got back at the end of the day. So I'm going to have to work on his manners!!
So anyway, Lindor Chocolate if you got this far
it was a very good day, and I am shattered now!!
