... being led off my horse, rather than mummy having to walk! He had a day off school (one of those teacher training days) so I though, today's the day!

He is only 6, and has just started Pony Club. The pony is 22, 11.2hh, and he is the umpteenth child she has taught to ride. I rode my 16.3 ID (who was a perfect star) so we must have looked like Little and Large. We have wonderful off road riding, so no vehicles, but plenty of dog walkers and runners. We had a ball!!

What an achievement for him - and nice for mum's legs to get a rest! I must say I love being able to hack out with my daughter.

Awwwww, well done to both of you. Did the same with my daughter a few months back and couldn't stop grinning I was so proud

Hi, I am still walking with my daughter who is just seven, and usually off the lead rein, whilst out on hacks! I am so looking forward to being able to hack out with her it is unbelievable. You must be so proud and excited, it will open up a whole new world for the both of you. Onwards and upwards. Well done and congrats xx
