Took my son for his first hack ...

... being led off my horse, rather than mummy having to walk! He had a day off school (one of those teacher training days) so I though, today's the day!

He is only 6, and has just started Pony Club. The pony is 22, 11.2hh, and he is the umpteenth child she has taught to ride. I rode my 16.3 ID (who was a perfect star) so we must have looked like Little and Large. We have wonderful off road riding, so no vehicles, but plenty of dog walkers and runners. We had a ball!!

Hi, I am still walking with my daughter who is just seven, and usually off the lead rein, whilst out on hacks! I am so looking forward to being able to hack out with her it is unbelievable. My son has just starting riding again after losing his confidence completely. He's 14 though, but I'm still really proud of him
