.........but ended up walking an unruly youngster :o

Seriously, it started well but rapidly went down hill with him rushing and pulling me along :(

I thought I would walk him round the farm, as usually when I ride he is frightened of EVERYTHING.....wind turbins, sounds of shooting, farm vehicles etc etc, so thought "ah yes, I'll walk him to get him to trust me and bond etc etc"

Well, I tried every trick I could think of him to stop him pulling, which they worked for the first minute and then off we went again......so I am now tired and have an achy arm (1 1/2 hour walk).

He's had such a great time that when I took him into the school afterwards, he jumped all the jumps

Grrrrrrr best laid plans and all that :(

ha ha

I did the same with my oldie this afternoon. It was such a lovely day and felt bad that the other two had gone out leaving him on his own.

We ambled up the lane but then he obviously decided that he was 5 again and that was the end of the pleasant walk

My left arm (leading on right as on roads) now feels totally knackered :D

Must say though, it is nice to see him still acting like that, even if it does make it hard work for me ;)

OFG - I'm pleased to hear its not just mine then :D .....and totally agree with you about seeing them act like that, especially after I spend all my time worrying about him getting older
