Top Chop Alfa

I currently have my boy on Alfa beet and Hi fi senior

He is on Top spec cool and condition and the Top spec balancer
Have just seen that they have now brought out a new "Alfa chop" and thought i might swap him onto that and Speedi beet

Anyone tried it yet, and if so what do you think of it

Not tried it, but I was considering it as iirc it's unmolassed. Plus, in theory, using one manufacturer's range under their recommendation should give you the best value for money in terms of completeness of diet, without doubling up unnecessarily?

currently have the TB on it , it seems quite nice, horsey prefers this to others, and its quite good value for money

We got the Top Chop Lite a couple of weeks ago and ours love it. We already feed Top Spec Anti Lam balancer and were using a chaff which had a very light coating of molasses. So to get something molass free like this is great.

How big are the bags? Are they 20kg?

I checked at feed merchant today and they are 15kg, so not such good value compared to Dengie as I thought. But not identical products so could still be worth it, depending on what you want it for.

I liked the idea of the Top Chop Alfa being unmolassed so bought a bag of it for my TBs but neither would eat it! One would not touch his feed at all, anyone would think that I had tried to poison him. I have changed back to the Alfa-A Oil he is now eating up as usual! Also found it quite expensive as it is only in a 15kg bag
