1.What you need is a little stick when he's naughty - not a big stick, just a little one

2. Now that he's going to be a gundog, you have to keep him off the sofa

3. You need to start muzzling him to stop him eating things

She is definately wrong on the first point, you need a big stick, preferably with a nail through the end of it...

Agree with Hen - big stick with nail and beat daily with it whether they need it or not - especially if it is a spangle...........

I think cattle prod, then u wont get splinters when u beat him and with the prod, well u just have to prod him
I would also suggest wiring his jaw shut, he could get the muzzle off

If it's a spangle you need to tie it down first, can't risk it running off

THAT'S why all these GSD tests take place in such huge fields - the smell

You don't need a stick...the training brick (or breeze block) works wonders
e.g:
"Down"... "DOWN"...."DOWN" *thunk* "Good girl!! Now wake up.... "
