My TB is dipping his back when I apply pressure along his top line muscle. It only seems to be either side of the spine on his top line muscle but his spine itself is fine when pressure is applied. Took him out for a ride and shows no signs of lameness or trying to move away from the block or saddle when I approach, no issues while riding at all. He has been out of work for a couple of months so has very little muscle at the moment. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar and if I should be worried or if it will get better as he comes back into work and increases muscle?
Thank you

Thank you SullivanB! I'm worried that it could be kissing spine, but he doesn't show any typical signs of being naughty under the saddle etc. just drops his back and hind legs when I brush his top line muscle.

I wouldn't go that far, stay calm! If he's been out of work for months, it's expected he might get a bit sore - imagine you not going to the gym at all then doing a workout session. You'd feel it afterwards :)
Sounds like muscle pain to me, get an ACPAT physio out to see him. They can advise on work too, but just build it up slow and steady.
