Top Spec Feed Balancer

I used it a few years ago on my pony and found that she lacked energy and difficult to keep weight on! I've had her on blue chip the last year or so and am a great fan! She looks great is a good weight, has more energy and looks good in herself so would recommend it.

Yes I feed the Welsh Cob, Top Spec balancer, have had him on it for a couple of months but before that he was on the AntiLami version. Always found it good stuff, he looks VERY well on it :)

No pics, but I'm a huge fan of this and their AntiLam. My horse is great on it in the winter or when in hard work, the rest of the time he gets AntiLam as he can do a little too well on it. It gives him plenty of energy and good hooves (for him) & coat without making him silly or sharp or upsetting his stomach. It's worth every penny to me.

my highland is on it (good do-er) and her hoof quality has improved soooo much in the 6 weeks since the farrier was last here. They were amazed at the difference in her - this is the only change that has been made to her so she is staying on it :)

I highly recommend it.

ETA - I started using this because it as recommended to me as my YO uses it with great success with their pre-novice young eventer and their newly backed 4 yr old.

We use it but only because he's a good doer and on limited short feed rations, so by adding a balancer we know he's getting enough vitamines etc. Think we will change to a performance balancer next time

I feed Topspec veteran balancer - FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comes complete with glucosomine for the "too straight" hocks, which in itself would have cost a fortune with a separate supplement. My vet said "never seen her go so well"
I now have hard feed left in the bowl as my hollow legged twonk is at last - FULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She's maintaining her weight on crap grass and looking fantastic.

..........and the Topspec calmer is bloody phenomenal - I know, I've tried them all

Thumbs up from me too - I've fed it with Allen and Page Calm and Condition for a 4yo I took on that was very poor and wanted to make sure he had all the nutrients he required.

Also feed it to my yearling hairy ***** pony type cob - grass diet but so poor as a weanling that I wanted to ensure he wasn't missing anything needed for growth.

Both of them look fantastic now, coat and hoof quality has noteably improved.:D

My feed bills REDUCED when I switched to TS Comprehensive. While at the same time my horse's topline and hooves improved. So did her temperament, but I think that was unrelated...

I started feeding top spec comp balancer to my TB in June. I initially started as he was living out 24/7 and I didn't think he was getting enough vit's etc from just one feed of pony nuts per day. And I had been feeding a hoof suppliment that cost more than a bag of balancer! I am soooo pleased with how he looks on it. Everyone that see's him comments about how great he looks, and my farrier that for a year has always said "he still looks like a racehorse" had to admit that he looked fab at his last visit. His hooves are also starting to look really strong. As the grass is starting to fade I've added a couple of mugs of the cool conditioning cubes as recommended by top spec's help line and they have so far also lived up to their name very well. All in all I'd deffinately give it a try.

Hi,
No, a conditioning feed + supplement (poor grass) and haylage. Was always suspicious balancers, as a bit "new fangled" for me!

I have been feeding TS balancer and conditioning flakes since August and amvery pleased with results. Improved one pony who was always difficult to get condition on without making him stupid. He looks amazing and is very calm.

You might want to know that TS do a brilliant free yard visiting service too.
Three weeks ago a TS feed rep visited my yard, weighed all of my lot on a weighbridge and gave me individual feedcharts. Although she was promoting TS there was no hard sell and I got loads of vouchers to try different products. I also know the accurate weights for each one for worming, etc. She intends to return in a few months and will re-weight to compare.
I would highly recommend this service to anyone- and its free!!!!!

We feed Top Spec Anti Lam as our horses are all good doers. They look fantastic on it, have great feet and it is peace of mind knowing they are getting all the vitamins and minerals that they need.

It does look expensive at first glance but you don't feed a lot of it. Plus in independent tests time and again Top Spec tops the league for their balancers.

Sorry I have no before and after pictures (wish I had now), but 15hh coloured HW cob was looking ok, but very poor in his coat, I have to restrict him to control his weight, so I put him on Top Spec Lite, plus their Top Chop Lite chaf and now he looks fantastic. Coat gleaming, he looks and feels good, and seems very sane. I now also started adding a mug of Fast Fibre to his morning and evening feed and he loves it.

I started using topspec senior in march this year would recommend it to anyone

have used it on all of mine for years and it is fab stuff- really reduces feed costs too.

i tried Blue Chip before and it did absolutely nothing for any of mine.

Another satisfied customer here as well- we've been feeding TopSepec for just over a month to help my sister's ex-racer- he wasn't 'thin' as such, but needed better condition so that he could really start to build up muscle in his schooling.

He's looking loads better now and really progressing in his work (and developing better muscle tone). His crib-biting also seems to have dropped a little bit- it used to be that he would head straight for the fence to crib-bite when we put him out in the field, but now he actually goes out to eat, so he's obviously a happier boy on it as well!

Thanks for all the wonderful replies. Its lovely to hear such good results.

Helen - Wow, what a difference, lovely boy, very handsome x

toffeesmarty - Wow, thats brilliant what they do and all for free, think i will be giving that ago. - Do you just ring them up and ask for yard visit etc or do you have to go down a specific route? PM if you prefer x

My boy has been on TS Balancer for a few days now so hopefully will see changes in a few weeks/months.

How long did you notice before changes? x
