Top Spec Lite

Hi, if you mean the balancer then it has done a fab job on my TB.
He is lovely and calm and still carrying great condition

Sorry, no, they have brought out two chaffs, one is Alfa, and the other is a Lite one, Alfa mixed with oat straw, so it is only to bulk out the feeds.

I was feeding hi fi senior and have swapped onto the top chop Alfa, i know it isn't the same as you would use the lite, but the alfa chop is lovely, Max thinks it's great, i feed Top spec balancer, condition cubes and now the chop, i love thier feeds

I have just bought a sack. Did go through them on the helpline for quite a long time. I hope basically it provides all the vits and minterals for him as the rest of his diet is pretty much fibre.

I didn't think it was reinforced, so to speak, to be a sort of complete feed though, in the way that you can feed Happy Hoof at a high rate daily and need not add anything else?

I think the title of your OP was a bit ambiguous as there is a Top Spec Lite balancer as well as a Top Chop Lite. The balancer obviously supplies vit/mins etc., whether the Top Chop is a unsupplemented chaff designed to be fed alongside the balancer.

Presumably Mickey is talking about the Lite balancer, and you are talking about the Lite chaff!

Yes, thanks TGM, I was talking about the Top Spec balancer! It is my understanding that this is a complete supplement containing the full range of vitamins and minerals as well as an additional hoof supplement, yeast etc. Sorry for any confusion.

I am adding top spec balancer to fibre nuts, alpha a and sugarbeet

Just moved onto the Top chop Alfa and very nice stuff. Before I was on Alfa A but my local shop had sold out and had a sack of the top chop in.
Frankie has gone really shiny in a week and I think I will stick with it.
Difficult to know how it will compare price wise to alfa a oil though as it is cheaper but the bag is smaller.

Like the sound of the lite too as it is unmolassed.

I'm feeding the topchop lite.

My two are eating it quite happily, and its nice not to see great clumps of mollasses in their food.

The bags are only 15kg so it is more expensive than hi-fi lite.

One of mine is also on top spec lite balancer and he has a lovely coat. he is brilliant white (not at the moment

) so is actually a bit dazzling in the summer when his coat glistens.
