Am currently feeding Top Spec balancer but am thinking how does it vary from the Top Spec Stud feed balancer which is a lot cheaper? Still has the same levels of Biotin in it but what are the differences?

Also anyone had any experience of feeding the Top Spec Comprehensive balancer which is granular and you mix with chaff to feed? Is apparently what's used to make the regular balancer but is a lot cheaper! But wondering how palatable it is...?

Thanks

I tried the comprehensive balancer in granule form for my veteran. Initially he was ok but then decided not to eat his food with this suppliment in. I phoned Top spec and they said that it may be the apple flavouring which can be quite bitter to some horses. My boy had just been introduced to some lovely sweet haylage and this is why he no longer liked the granules. I changed to the pellet form and he was ok with them.

No answers on the stud one but the granular one is lower in protein than the cubes so may not be what you for the beast!

No one out there feed Top Spec Stud balancer?

I wanted the stud balancer but no-one seemed to stock it. I started using the comprehensive instead for my brrod mare. The nutritionalist from topspec stated that it can also be used as a creep feed so that is what I am doing.

It is expensive but lasts a long time, I think I use a bag a month which will work out cheaper than using the recommended amount of any mix/cube. Less bulk aswell.

I had trouble sourcing the Topspec Stud Balancer and had it delivered straight from Top Spec themselves. If you look on their website for the phone number you can call and arrange to buy over the phone.
