Top tips for cleaning bits

Anyone got any top tips for cleaning bits?
Any products that can be used yet still ok for the horse?

I'm going to list some bits on ebay so want them in as best conidition as possible.

I put hot water in a bowl with fairy liquid and leave them to saok for 10 minutes the the grubby bits just come off and then I rinse it under a cold tap so it doesn't taste bubbly It makes them shiney aswell and cheap!

Soak them in boiling water then clean with an old toothbrush.

This then get one of them sponges with the brisley brush on one side to scrub the yellow custy bits offwith

I leave mine in a bucket of warm water for a bit and then wipe them clean with a sponge.

I cleaned mine today soaked in warm water and then just brushed over with a wet small dandy brush they came up nice.

Soak in boiling water with a squeeze of lemon juice, then wipe with a cloth

I'm another person that puts them in the dishwasher. Anything that is left on gets scrubbed off with a toothbrush and some fairy liquid then rinsed in hot water.

I have a washing up pad with sponge one side and scratchy stuff the other side. It lives under my kitchen sink and is used for cleaning the bits (gets the metal of the kk ones really shiny) and also for washing up my MIL coffee cup when she visits and asks for another drink
