Having serious issues getting weight and top line on my anglo arab, any hints and tips getting really deflated not succeeding.
thanx

Having the same problem with my boy - warmblood. I have wormed him which helped but still not great. I feed him 1 large scoop of Alfa-A with oil, 1 large scoop of topline cubes and 1/2 scoop of mix. Along with hay and haladge and gress.

The build-up cubes and convalesece mixes seem to be quite good - have made some differenace. Haylege is also great but I think I would ned to give him a bale a day - can't really afford that!

yeah, i know we shouldnt have horses if u cant afford them but when you need 2 buy so much food it gets ridiculus, especially in the summer! i have wormed him recently and he has had blood test but nothing showed up,
i agree would love to give him much haylage but ..money! glad someone else in same boat! thanx

I am also in the same boat. He is getting a good amount of weight on his bottom, but his topline is still shocking.

I am feeding Alpha A oil, build up and Barley rings, he has 24hr grazing, so it is just time I guess.

QR- what sort of work are you doing with him? I'm by no means an expert but would have thought that feeding was only part of building topline & correct schooling played its part too?

I would try and get him fit and feed him baileys stud balancer at the same time, did wonders for my extremely skinny warmblood this winter, and now he is in the best condition he has ever been.
