Can anyone talk me through this? I keep my horses at a fab farm, where there is a school about 20m x 40m. However it hasn't been used for several years and is now quite solid and thin. Am I right in thinking I can buy fibre and mix it in to the current surface to top it up? Where would be best to buy it, and how much would it cost?

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

(also in CR)

I'm no real authority of school surfaces but if it has gone thin & solid as you say you will need to check that the drainage still works. If it is so solid that water pools on it then sorting out the arena will be more time consuming & expensive than just topping up. If the drainage is clogged up then adding a surface on the top will be a waste of money as it will just get water logged.

There are lots of companies either on the net, in Horse magasines etc that advertised building & restoring arenas, give one a call & they should be able to give you an idea of cost.
