I'm sure there will be some, erm, how shall I put this... 'lively' debate on the matter as there always is.

At the risk of sounding like Admin crossed with a debating society, can we please keep this civil? Thanks.

I think this would be a good idea in theory. I liked the idea of hunting continuing but with a licence (which was one of the original proposals by the labour party). I think either licensed hunts or a 'watchdog' would be a good compromise.
The watchdog could monitor hunts for a while to see that there is no unnecessary suffering and the fox was allowed to go to ground - ie the earths have not been staked and no terriers used.
If the monitors agree the hunt is acting within these guidelines then they are issued with a license.
The antis would be happy (ish) knowing that the hunts are monitored and there is minimal suffering and the hunts are happy cos they can still pursue a fox. And that would be the end of the arguments!! (As if!)

I hope the tories wont use the hunt ban like labour have.. IE to bury bad news and divert peoples attetion from the important issues when the government was under pressure...
its a great way of getting folk heated and wasting time

Keeping it 'clean', as you asked so nicely lol I believe all hunting of foxes with anything other than rifles is inhumane and should be banned. I believe that is the best and you should all compromise and agree to it

Scratchline - This is your idea of civil? No wonder so many people have you on UI.
Hunting with hounds is banned - so you can't believe in it, you agree with it.

Seriously do you not get it. The faces, the 'you should all compromise and agree'??? Is laughter not allowed here.

And no, hunting with hounds carries on today. I do not believe hunting with hounds whether it to be flushing to shotguns or whatever should be legal is my opinion. Rifles only.

p.s the people who ignore me either havent a sense of humour or are bad tempered and nasty so I really dont miss them or care

Can't speak for anyone else, but I certainly do have a sense of humour, I just haven't found anything you have said so far humourous.
I have certainly never said we should all compromise and agree - what a boring world it would be if we did, nor do I think we ever will, hence why I said 'Discuss'

Maybe you should word your views a little more carefully in future, as even re-reading it, I cannot see that you joked everybody should compromise and agree with you. A little ambiguous IMO.
 
Suggesting all should agree with me when my views are clearly very,very different to many on here was IMHO extremely funny.
I am on here for lighthearted discussion about topics that interest me and will not be changing my way of posting for anybody
