Hacking quietly last week, a cyclist came flying round the corner, slammed the brakes on, fell off and the bike flew into the legs of my led horse. Both span and the led horse pulled away, slipping and knuckling over on his n/s hind fetlock on the tarmac

He's been in a filthy bad mood ever since and thoroughly reluctant to work but with no obvious attributable cause. A few days ago, he suddenly became ultra sensitive on his flanks and in a band underneath, in front of his sheath with significant swelling particularly on his n/s flank.

I've buted, ,cold hosed and he seems to be getting relief from a magnetic rug.

Has anyone else had anything similar and how quickly did it heal? I've been warned it could take up to a month to settle

I would give him a good two weeks off, and then see how he is, personally I would get a physio out but that's my choice.

Thanks dianchi - atm I think he'd not appreciate anyone too hands on - I ran my hand over his belly and he leapt away - I shall speak to my physio about seeing him when he's less sore.

Has anyone had a horse pull these muscles? It's something I've never come across before :-(
