Torres the cripple- an update and some photos

There really is something about him isn't there! One of those faces you can't be angry at for too long...just as well really!

Good to hear a more positive update xx

I don't know what it is.. he's actually a bit of an ugly nag in real life! He's just quite endearing. Plus he has this hilarious whinny as he's had a wind op. Sounds like he's being strangled and cracks me up every time he does it in the morning.

Awwww look at that face :) Glad to hear you've had a bit of goodish news that he's not as buggered as you feared. Really wouldn't want your vets bills either (mind you mine has had his fair share) If he's already improved in how comfortable he is with his feet then no reason for them not to keep on going in that direction. My boys are still changing nearly one year on (toes are STILL coming back although foot balance and frogs are finally starting to get there... I expect they'll still be making little changes this time next year too)

Aww he's lovely OP looks like quite a character :-) glad the news is a bit more positive. I too would hate to see your vets bills!

He really is a lucky boy to have found you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome for you both.
I have a broken one...bought him 5 years ago with mild ( make that severe !) Sweet Itch...within 2 months of owning we had Bone Spavin/Annular ligament issues and COPD then year later I almost lost him to Peritonitis. After trying to expensively keep him ( ridden) sound and not feeling happy that he was, he is now retired....happy....living on a hill (so minimum midges) with 2 friends ( one is my newly purchased micro cob ) and as long as he is happy will continue to do so.
Good Luck with you handsome boy :)

Well the neddy is about to come home. No kissing spine op. Surgeon feels the activity was too slight to warrant going in, particularly at the moment when his feet aren't up to the rehab required. Which does make sense. We will reasses when he comes back into work. Fingers crossed he loads into his luxury 3.5 tonne lorry...
