Hi

im currently borrowing a 16 " torsion from a fried to try out on my standardbred gelding, so far I am very happy with it, my lad seems to be going very well in it and I am finding it very comfortable to ride in, I have gone down this route due to him being extremely difficult to fit.

I just wondered what other people thoughts were on them and if anyone knows where is best to look for a second hand one as I don't really want to spend alot in case I come across a tree'd saddle that actually fits him as this would be my preference but due to v limited finds I am quite happy to go with a 2nd hand torsion for a year or so so I can keep riding him.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

Lacey

Hi, we have one that my daughter loves but personally I am not keen, mainly because I have a tendancy to go over to the right and my WOW saddle is adjusted to help with this, the Torsion is'nt of course!!! One of the things I do like are the amount of D rings -we do endurance and they are handy for the equipment we carry. The right numnahs are not cheap.

They do pop up on EBay from time to time, we did think of selling it at one point and I was keeping an eye on it. Part of my decision not to sell it was how little they went for and how much I stood to loose!

Hope you find you one!

Torsion are really good treeless saddles (the first and original). They don't come up second hand too often, so it is a matter of looking everywhere until you find one.
