Totally been had, trying to sell my horse!

Think i would either of rung the vet in question or taken my own vet down there to carry out another vetting!! It does sound as if you have been had but at the end of the day you wanted rid of the horse which has issues anyway which you have done.

A lot of it also boils down to money, of which I have none, and it does help if you do have money so that you can explore these things further. It is interesting to hear what some of you have posted though, I have learnt quite a bit, so thank you to those of you who posted informative answers.

Well the vet isnt very good or respectful then - the owner has FULL LEGAL rights to the paper work and the vets outcome.

Just becasue they are not working for you doesnt mean they wont/cant tell you the outcome

ALL the vets in my area - inform the OWNER of the outcome of the evt check before the purchaser.

No - ring the vet that did the report and speak to them - forget the paper work esp if you think it dodgy - the vet will happily tell you what happened - its part of their job. I am sure they wont mind .
