So i found a nice horse to loan through a friend of a friend. She is lovely, and getting no attention and needs som tlc. Her owner seemed really keen for me to have her, arranged to see the horse within a day of hearing about her etc etc.

But.. the owner is obviously having some 'personal issues' and keeps dissappearing. I cant pin her down and nor can my friend (who arranged this). I've decided i dont want to be messed around any more - but now i have no horse, and i feel really rubbish - not helped by the fact that on Saturday it will be the 1year anniversary of having by beloved mare pts.

So if anyone has or knows of a 15.3-17hh horse mare or gelding all breeds accepted going for loan please please let me know! Just looking for something to do general riding club stuff. loving home on a bhs approved yard and 22 years riding & horse owning experience in leicestershire.

Sorry for wollowing in my own self pitty!

Try not to feel down hunni, if its meant to be it will

Keep your chin up, im sure that the perfect horse is out there, just keep looking xx

Thanks guys,

Brighteyes, yes i do like the mare a lot - but i'm not sure i want to be mixed up in her owners issues... i've decided she has to the end of this week to pull herself together, and if not i'm going to have to walk away.

Think i'll have a search around the web to see if i can find anything else...

Yep, looked on Welland and phoned about both of the horses that i thought would be suitable - one has gone and the other owner doesnt want to move the horse, and they're just a bit too far for me to travel every day... hay ho - they say everything happens for a reason - just wish i knew what the reason was!!

Oh rubbish - obviously weren't supposed to be!

I know its hard to see the reasons why but 6 months down the line you could have something fantastic and go oh, thats why nothing materialised back then!

Keep positive!

Thanks Loopyloop - trying to stay positive - just missing a long furry nose to stroke and i'm even missing the mucking out (its only been 6 days since my previous loan went!)

you're too kind!! i certainly dont miss poo picking (although i dont have to do that on my yard anymore - thank god!)

Hollyandivy123 I'm not overly picky, just looking for a general alrounder - any breed really, so long as it would be big enough (i'm 5'10")

I've just paid someone a tenner to do my field, I'd have happily paid £20!!!

It's quite nice to sit at work knowing when I get down it will be done!!! Even though I have got to do the field she's currently in............hmmmmm!!!!
