What make is it?

have brown bates momentum 17.5 inch medium. saving for a dressage!

Now the one I answered for, I have 3, just happens to be a 17.5" VSD Kings saddle, in black, medium sized.

Sadly despite its excellent condition and comfort, it doesn't get taken out anymore as the horse outgrew it... (ahhhhhhhh!)

Does anyuone else have a similar situation - could add a rug poll or a horsebox one?

Difficult to answer questions as more than one answer each time & I have two horses to saddle which are different in sizes.

Basically have jumping/GP saddle and dressage saddle & also Wintec (just in case saddle !) Don't mind about the colour.

I have a black 17" GP wide and a great big western saddle for Mr C, so put the nearest options in your poll.

Chancer wears Cairo's saddle which is not a bad fit apart from being a little wide for long reining, but will eventually get his own nice brown saddle company GP and depending on how well he does, a nice showing saddle.

i have 2 GP 1 med 17", 1 md/wide 17.5", both havana, and 1 dressage, black narrow 17.5". My mum's a bit annoyed about the number tho, as they are all at home, and running out of places to put all my tack

Technically I have one saddle but it is an Albion Selecta so has dressage knee rolls or SJ ones - so two saddles in one!!!

We have 4 saddles of all different shapes, sizes and colours...from 18" GP to 12.5" show saddle. Couldn't make multiple selections though so not much use

VSD = Very Slightly Dresseur (age)

VSS = Very Slightly Springen (Jumping)

oooh yeah, forgot about my pony's saddles too, not sure what size, but they're tiny (was my first saddle), cant believe my arse ever fitted in it! Theyre havana too!

Very Slightly Dressage or so I was told! Means straighter cut than a GP but not as straight as a showing or dressage saddle...

A black wintec western saddle for my cob
A black working hunter for other cob - 17" extra wide (flat!!)
A black GP for daughters ponio - 16" very wide
A black GP for shettie/welshie - 14" ish extra wide

Otto= 1 GP and 1 Dressage, working on getting a jumping one for Christmas but GP will go then.

Blacks= 1 GP.

poll didnt really work for me as all my saddles are different types, these are the saddles i own (for my one horse!!)

- Black Kes 17" med/wide dressage saddle (not used at the moment but when i get a sharer for Bloss they will be using it as im not letting them loose in my Albion!)

- Black Kes 17" med/wide WH Show/Dressage saddle (never been used and its for sale!!)

- Black Kes 17" med/wide jumping saddle

- Black 17.5" Albion SLK Ultima Narrow saddle med/wide fitting

(the albion will be adjusted to fit my new horse - when i find one)

too many for your options, a black leather cheap GP 17.5 for Highland XW, a brown Wintec cob 17.5 adjustable various XW gullets.
A brown leather cheap tan/brown GP XW for Dales X 18" and a black Wintec dressage (adjustable for various W-XW options)

Hankering after a Torsion treeless but want to try one first so I will go to Your Horse Live to see if there is one I can sit on, would also like a smart WH type saddle for Dales X for when we start showing proper next year

slightly off subject, I have a set of stamps to impress postcodes into leather saddles so if anybody fancies a daytime meet up in West oxfordshire this autumn I can post code your leather saddles, I also have microchips for synthetic saddles and those you would prefer not to mark. Stamping is free, microchips are £14

Well now, maybe its old fashioned but I was always told saddles were made in half inches, so not a 17", a 17.5".

I could be wrong... but thats what I've always thought...
