If you found someone or somewhere that said they could evaluate what you are feeding your horse or horses, the bedding you were using and a number of other things to save you some money and possibly improve your horse's health, welfare and performance...

Good idea, but paying someone to tell me how to save money is in my mind kinda like paying someone to tell me how to get rich quick - daft and probably not worth it!

Surely its fairly common sense how to save money...... I suppose that someone elses experience is useful, but there is always someone on a livery yard that willing to tell you the best way, for nothing!!!!

Interesting idea though

How much they could save you depends on how much I'd want to pay of that made sense... Also you can ring the feed companies for excellent advice FOC from qualified nutritionists so would also want to know the persons qualifications

Zalacca - true, but you don't usually get impartial advice, IME they will only recommend their own products, and there may be something better suited to your horse or cheaper out there....

If the person was a qualified equine nutritionist, with years of retail experience in the equine industry would that settle your mind about it?

Merlinsquest and Ziggy101 - we all know how irritating those people can be tho!! especially if you don't really want their advice or if you don't like the way their horse is fed/goes/is treated etc

plus it's not just about saving money, it's also about helping you and your horse get more out of life.

I'm not trying to wind anyone up - just get a proper picture of how it would be received!
