Totilas - Rolkur?

I've seen quite a few photos of his "warm up" and they all had the same frame to them.

3 things have struck me

1 Some people say this is the way the horse likes to be ridden. I very much doubt it, more like that's the way he's USED to being ridden.... doesn't make it right

2 The fact they they are busy getting the photos removed from the internet speaks volumes???? If you believed you were doing nothing wrong why are you trying to hide them???

3 I was under the impression that this way of riding was now banned. So why did no official step in?? Or is it the case of he's a big name riding the most famous horse in the world, so he can do what he wants? If so that is cowardise and appauling!

Number 3 is a very interesting point - why did noone step in if this truely is a banned way of riding? Seems very strange to me.

P.S i started this thread to hear views and discuss - i am in no position to say weather or not this is right or wrong - but am very interested to hear peoples views....

A friend of mine said that he is now training with sejf and they use rolkur all the time...

Hopefully with our British riders, especially Carl and Charlotte shining, it will show the world how a different kind of training can also work... when we hopefully witn team gold at the Oylmpics...

i no that its horrific and its wrong and i deffinately think that people should step in but on another point. what i shame argueably!! the best dressage horse ever is being ruined.

I'd like to add a slight change to your quote above, to hopefully with our British riders, especially Carl and Charlotte, it will show how CORRECT training works.........

In my understanding hyperflexion is banned but by the definition it isn't. The wording as I recall is very poor and leaves the door wide open.

The judges are going to have to man up and sort this one as clearly the competitors are not going to.
