Totilas Sold !!!!

Very sad to hear this. Edward and Totilas are a complete legend, I hope for all concerned it works out. Makes me appreciate all the more how lucky I was to be able to see and enjoy the combination at Windsor last year.
 
Poor Edward but he must have always been looking over his shoulder so to speak, with the Olympics coming up and the horse going so well. Be very interesting to see if another rider can recreate that kind of form with him. A friend of mine from Holland was saying that Gal has the magic touch when it comes to 'making' top horses.

would you really want to be the new rider- will be a LOT of pressure for whoever it is...to go out and reproduce the same sort of form....
 
No wonder edward was in tears, what will he be like on monday.

I was so willing laura to do better ( and she is so nearly there ) but now I am not sure what to wish for.

It just puts a blot on what overwise has been such an insperational compitition.
 
I would be really suprised if he was for sale/ sold. We sat behind his owners at the Europeans last year, Jennie LC spoke to them at length and they were saying he was part of the family and would never ever be sold...

They were truely lovely people and seemed to genuinely adore him?!
 
He may be part of the family but with the global economy the way it is people are coming to a point where they have to sell horses however much they love them. And this is true at all levels. Given that there was a security issue at the stables a few nights ago they may be denying it for the horses safety "just in case". My OH who is a racehorse trainer was watching with me last nite. He has no interest in dressage but is now besotted with Alf to the extent that he plans on winning the Euromillions sat to put an offer in lol best laid plans. Interestingly though while he agreed Totilas was amazing he said offered a sit on any of them he would pick Alf everyday out of them all. He just felt he would be the nicest ride. Interesting. Who knows what will happen
